"The Tango is not a dance but an obsession. For the
tanguero, it is as much a part of life as eating and
sleeping. Erotic and passionate, haunting and melancholy,
it involves not only the body but also the soul..."

TANGO I:

We teach authentic Argentine Tango as it is danced in the clubs of Buenos Aires. The Beginning class is initially taught as two consecutive 8 week sessions. After completing the first 8 weeks, those students interested in continuing to study Tango can re-register for the next session, building upon what they've already learned. Level I emphasizes posture, step patterns, leading & following skills, and interpreting the music. If you already know your basic step, ochos forward and ochos back, you may join the class currently in session.

TANGO II:
Level II meets once a week and is an ongoing class. You must have completed all four months of Level I or already have a background in Argentine Tango to join this class. Level II emphasizes improvisation, dancing to the music, exciting step patterns, and effective leading and following skills in Tango, Tango Vals, and Milonga.
